Bartenders create a welcoming bar top and lounge atmosphere to serve consistent quality drinks.  Bartenders should be quick, follow established recipes and guidelines, but careful enough not to sacrifice quality.  While providing excellent guest service in a fast paced environment, bartenders will also maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.

Responsibilities

• Greets guest in a timely and professional manner
• Verifies guest that purchase alcohol are at least 21 years of age
• Recognizes levels of intoxication and prevents guests from becoming intoxicated
• Accurately takes food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner at the bar and lounge area
• Possesses full knowledge of bar and menu items and be able to make recommendations
• Utilizes drink measures and proper pours
• Suggestive selling of beverages and food
• Restocks and maintains bar supplies, such as glassware, recipe products, and paper goods
• Maintains cleanliness of bar and lounge areas and equipment, signs, tables, chairs, stainless steel
• Records all sales by ringing all orders before bringing drinks to guests
• Executes build and sells tickets within 4 minutes
• Greets guests in a courteous fashion, with indulgent service in mind
• Checks opening inventory, notes any shortages or changes
• Pours and dispenses alcoholic beverages to legal age guests
• Rotates and restocks bar coolers with inventory from walk-in cooler
• Changes tap on empty kegs. Reports any problems or leaks to the manger on duty
• Cleans all surfaces during shift and at end of shift
• Maintains security of all bar supplies and inventory
